Calvary Partners with Hair Cuttery to “Share a Haircut”

Sometimes a haircut can make a woman feel like a whole new person. Calvary Women’s Services is proud to partner with Hair Cuttery for their “Share a Haircut” program, which will provide thousands of free haircuts to women and men who are experiencing homelessness.

For every adult or child haircut purchased at Hair Cuttery locations on February 2 and 3, Hair Cuttery will donate a free haircut certificate to a person who is homeless. Calvary is one of many community organizations that is partnering with Hair Cuttery to distribute these certificates. Last year, Hair Cuttery donated 50,000 certificates to homeless individuals, and they hope to donate thousands more this February.

At Calvary, these certificates will be especially beneficial for candidates of the Step Up DC job placement program, who want to look their absolute best before meeting with potential employers, attending career fairs and going on job interviews. Calvary will be distributing Hair Cuttery certificates to Step Up DC candidates as well as residents of Calvary Transitional Housing Program and Pathways.

In previous years the “Share a Haircut” program has provided free haircuts to children who are going back to school as well as veterans and victims of domestic violence.

If you need a trim, shape up or new hairstyle next week, consider stopping by your local Hair Cuttery. You can share the gift of confidence and beauty to someone who needs it.
