Calvary Women’s Services to Honor Capital One with 2023 Partner of the Year Award

During the 2023 Hope Gala on April 26, Calvary Women’s Services will honor Capital One with the Partner of the Year award. Capital One and its employees have supported Calvary’s work for several years through grants for our financial literacy and housing programs, pro bono project support, and gift matching.

Headquartered just outside of DC in McLean, Virginia, Capital One’s support of Calvary Women’s Services comes through the Capital One Impact Initiative, a multi-year commitment to support growth in underserved communities and advance socioeconomic mobility by closing opportunity gaps. Its commitment has made a resounding impact on the Calvary community, as our organization works to end homelessness and empower even more women to reach their highest potential.

In 2022 alone, Capital One made significant financial investments in Calvary, led a 10-week pro bono project to enhance organizational communications, and empowered women by teaching financial management classes. We are grateful for their valuable project support, volunteer time, and resources.

Through the Partner of the Year Award, Calvary honors organizational partners who have a significant impact on our programs, empowering women to transform their lives for good. Dane Moist, Manager of Community Impact and Investment at Capital One, will accept the Partner of the Year award on behalf of the company and share remarks at the Hope Gala.

Please join us at the Hope Gala as we honor Capital One, a partner that has remained steadfast and committed to Calvary’s mission for years. We will also recognize Judith N. Batty with the 2023 Hope Award, hear stories from women who have transformed their lives through Calvary’s programs, and look at how Calvary Women’s Services is continuing its work through generous donors like Capital One.

Support the Hope Gala by purchasing tickets or making a donation to continue our services to help women in Washington, DC end their homelessness for good.
