Our statement on the conviction for the murder of George Floyd

Calvary Women’s Services is encouraged by Derek Chauvin’s conviction for the murder of George Floyd. We recognize this as an important step in a long march toward a more just and equitable society.

We remain committed to eliminating the pervasive, systemic and institutional racism that harms the lives of Black people daily. We will continue the urgent work to build a world in which all people can live without fear, in the safety and security that is their right.
