In recognition of the role hope plays in the lives of the women at Calvary, each spring we host the Hope Awards Dinner. For the last 11 years it has been our privilege to recognize and celebrate incredible individuals who have brought hope to women and to people in need. This year continues the tradition!

On Tuesday, May 14, you can join us for an inspirational and fun evening as we honor Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton for the gift of hope she has brought so many others.

Congresswoman Norton was born and raised in Washington, D.C. and has spent her life working tirelessly for civil rights and free speech – especially for women. From the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee and the American Civil Liberties Union, to the New York City Human Rights Commission, and as chair of the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, Congresswoman Norton has shown a lifelong passion for helping others to find and fight for their potential. Congresswoman Norton was elected as a delegate to Congress in 1990, and has been reelected every two years since. Congresswoman Norton has long been a friend of Calvary’s and we are so excited to have this opportunity to express our appreciation for her support!

In addition to hearing from Congresswoman Norton and other voices from Calvary, there will be a cocktail hour, dinner, and silent and live auctions featuring fantastic sports tickets, unique jewelry, and fun getaway packages.

The best part is… you are invited to be a part of this exciting celebration too! Join other members of the Calvary family and leaders in our community on May 14, and you can help bring hope back into the lives of women.
