Celebrating Hope

“Calvary brought the hope back. It brought the future back. It brought light at the end of the tunnel back.”

If you were at last year’s Hope Awards Dinner, you may remember those words from the video we premiered that night. Jackie, who lives in her own apartment at Calvary’s Sister Circle program, was describing the difference Calvary has made in her life.

In recognition of the role hope plays in the lives of the women at Calvary, each year we hold the Hope Awards Dinner. For the last 10 years it has been our privilege to recognize and celebrate incredible individuals who have brought hope to women and to people in need. This year is no different.

On Wednesday, May 9, you can join us for an inspirational and fun evening as we honor Katie Couric and Sandra Evers-Manly for the gifts of hope they have brought so many others.

Katie is an ABC News Special Correspondent and nationally recognized leader in television journalism whose new daytime talk show, “Katie!” will debut in September. Sandra leads myriad programs at Northrop Grumman, including equal employment opportunities, diversity and inclusion, ethics, and charitable giving, and she is a noted speaker and community leader.

Greta Kreuz of ABC7/WJLA-TV will emcee the event that will recognize both women, with Katie appearing via video. In addition, Calvary will hold a silent and live auction featuring fantastic sports tickets, unique jewelry, and fun getaway packages.

The best part is… you are invited to be a part of this exciting celebration too! Join other members of Calvary family and leaders in our community on May 9th, and you can help bring hope back into the lives of women.
